Designed by the German architect Kurt Rossknecht who, after his numerous projects in Europe and South Africa, took on the challenge of constructing his first golf course in Italy, making the best possible use of the natural and historical wealth of the Abbey of San Vigilio.
Having an expanse of 110 hectares to work with, Rossknecht developed a 27-sample hole course with another 9 executive holes, creating a circuit that interprets perfectly the original characteristics of the plot. With a maximum extension of 6775 metres from the "Gold championship" tees and 5070 metres from the "Ladies" tees, with another three intermediate teeing areas, the course is capable of offering a tough challenge for more experienced players, yet a thoroughly enjoyable circuit for beginners. The water hazards, greens well defended by strategically positioned bunkers, the articulated fairways surrounded by extensive rough, as well as the wide range of combinations offered by the 18-hole circuit with three different teeing areas, ensure that the game is always varied. A long, wide Driving Range completes the circuit, with numerous tee-boxes.

The private homes:

The private homes are located in a reserved area of the resort with access limited to residents, served by private access roads and basement car parks connected directly with the apartments, located on two above-ground floors, which are incorporated with the original building of the Abbey of San Vigilio.
The architectural project put together by the architect Mara Paterlini from the Brescia-based Studio Gap was inspired by the original Abbey site, creating perfect continuity between the reinstatement of the pre-existing buildings and the new complex, and is characterised by the classic disposition of masses with extensive porticos and terraces. The homes are surrounded by gardens, fountains, ornamental plants and paths in local stone and also benefit from spacious leisure areas in a garden setting. Refined night time lighting makes the location even more suggestive. Access to the residential area is controlled in order to guarantee maximum privacy and security for the residents. Every unit is offered with one or more basement garages.

Living in San Vigilio:

Marked by the high quality standard of both the construction work and finish, the homes in San Vigilio stretch out around courtyards opening onto gardens dotted with tall trees and benches for relaxation. "ferro" (iron) type
The "ferro" (iron) type units are individual units on a single floor, available at ground floor level, with a spacious external covered portico and private garden. The units have direct external access and a common stairway connects them with the basement garages. The layout provides for a living room with kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom.

"legno" (wooden) type
The "legno" (wooden) type units are duplex units on two floors with a spacious external covered balcony. The units have direct external access and the layout provides for a living area with a small hallway, bathroom, living room with kitchenette and a sleeping area with double bedroom and bathroom. A common stairway connects these units with the basement garages.

"Sand" type
The "Sand" type units are single units on a single floor, available at either ground floor level, with a spacious external covered portico and private garden, or at a higher level with a spacious panoramic terrace. Access to the units is offered by a small common hallway that connects them to the basement garages. The layout provides for a living room with kitchenette, bathroom, walk-in cupboard, double bedroom and single bedroom/study. The spacious porticos and wide terraces, which can be fitted out as required, allow the living area to be extended externally.
